Aces High
Aces High is a vertical air combat challenge built around steering, sustained fire and choosing when to clear the sky. Enemy aircraft arrive in waves while pickups offer armor and rapid fire. Your regular bombs and charged Airstrike are separate resources.

How to play Aces High
Move out of incoming fire while keeping your guns on targets. Ordinary kills and active playing time slowly fill the special attack bar. When it reaches 100%, use Airstrike to clear hostile aircraft and projectiles and gain a short protection and rapid-fire window. An Airstrike cannot refill its own charge through the enemies it destroys.
Keyboard and touch controls

In arcade games, use P to pause, H for the control guide, R to restart and Esc to return to the arcade. The bracket keys switch games. These shortcuts are disabled while you are typing in a form.
Choose your difficulty before starting
Every game offers Easy, Normal, Hard and Nightmare. A run keeps the difficulty chosen at the start, and personal bests are stored separately for each tier in your browser. To change an active run’s difficulty, return to setup and begin again.

| Easy | Five armor, two bombs and slower enemy aircraft and bullets. |
| Normal | Three armor, one bomb and the standard combat pace. |
| Hard | Two armor, faster enemies and more frequent attacks. |
| Nightmare | One armor, no starting bombs and the fastest, densest combat. |
A useful starting strategy
Save the full Airstrike for a crowded wave. Watch the charge bar instead of repeatedly pressing X before it is ready.
